Hogtied review

No model was harmed during the filming of these movies. This sentence is present at the bottom of Hogtied's every page. You might think that there must be a reason for that, and you would be right. Hogtied is not only one of the rougher BDSM sites though, it's also one of the oldest. It was launched in September 1998. In fact it was the first site of an empire, later to be named Kink.com. I'm reviewing a legend this time, a bondage site that's almost 20 years old, and still updated actively.

The main themes of Hogtied.com are bondage and suspension. Ropes are used to totally restrain these naked beauties, or suspend them so they'll be hanging in the air. The experienced master will then apply a mixture of domination, spanking, light whipping, caning, grabbing, and humiliation play. At the same time he teases and pleasures the girl. There are insertions and sex toys, and orgasm control. No girl will be released before she has a huge, real orgasm. Every girl knows what she's getting into, the movies have a pre-scene and post-scene part. The girls talk about the scene and their limits beforehand, and describe their experience afterwards.
All new scenes are recorded in a dungeon environment, and have no classic male-female sex. The master is only there to use and to pleasure the model. However, if you go back in the archives, you'll find more variation. There are scenes in which the master fucks the girl and has her blow him, there are outdoor bondage/suspension scenarios, and movies with a story.

Hogtied adopted HD very early, so despite the age of the site, around 900 of the episodes are in HD. The ones recorded in the last few years look superb. They're just 720P HD, not 1080P. But honestly, I couldn't tell the difference, Kink's new 720P vids look better than 1080P on many sites. The older HD look good. You have to go way back to 2005-2006 to find vids that are only available in SD.
I should mention that the online video player in the members' area has a 540P resolution (and lower if you're on mobile). If you want the best quality, choose the downloads instead.

I believe that Hogtied used to carry photo galleries too in the past. Currently, there are only preview pics from the scenes, which are also available without subscribing. I don't count those as photos. Maybe they just haven't integrated the galleries in the new design yet, I'm not sure.

As you probably know, the site is now part of the Kink network. This means that when you join Hogtied.com, you will get access to all (yes, all) websites in Kink's portfolio. In other words, you will see much more that you can handle—over 10.000 hours of original domination, fetish, and rough sex videos. If you're a collector, get ready to burn a lot of bandwidth. Hogtied itself adds 2 long movies per month these days, but the network as a whole adds 2 brand new movies on every weekday.

Now with the network merger, there is a new, centralized members' area for all the Kink sites. You're free to browse all updates, and you can also list a single site's contents. The basic usability is decent now, the site, the streaming playback, and the downloads are fast. You can find all the scenes of a model using the model index. I'd appreciate some more sort and search options though. While keywords do exist, you can only click them if you happen to find them on a scene's page.

The site is convenient on mobile devices too, so if you feel like watching a little rope bondage at work, it will be no problem.
