Kink.com review

If you're a BDSM fan, you know KINK. It's one of the biggest names in the genre. The company is based out of San Francisco, and they have launched many successful sites since 1997. The big news in 2016 is that have put all of these sites in a single network. Now you can get access to all of their content with a single subscription. It is called Kink Unlimited, or just Kink.com.

Let me tell you a bit more about the company's history. It was founded by Peter Acworth, an English man, while he was doing his PhD in finance at Columbia University. The first site was Hogtied. It quickly became one of the most popular bondage sites online. At first they used licensed content, but then quickly switched to their own production.
A few years, Kink launched their second site, Fucking Machines, a site dedicated to pleasuring women with advanced sex equipment.
And one more important date should be mentioned. In 2006, Kink.com bought a huge historic building, the San Francisco Armory. The building allows them to shoot scenes that are truly unique.

The Kink network currently has 10837 straight & transsexual scenes, and 1453 gay scenes. You can choose which of them to see, in the site's preferences.
The main genres are BDSM, Bondage, Rough Sex, Sex Machines, Gang Bangs, Public Humiliation, Femdom, Lezdom, Wrestling, and Anal+Ass Insertions. Kink adapted HD very early, so you can enjoy most of their library in nice looking 720P HD.

The movies on Kink are very unique, their bondage setups and environments should be taught at school. (And actually, they do have a channel with educational videos too.)
But another thing that's exceptional here are the models. They have the name and means to cast some big American porn stars. I'll mention just a few: Holly Hendrix, AJ Applegate, Ava Devine, Carter Cruise, Olivia Austin, Abella Danger, Ashley Adams, Piper Perri, Cheri DeVille, and Dani Daniels.
Of course not all women and men are porn stars here. There have many BDSM lifestyle dommes and subs too, as well as amateurs.
One more unique thing is that Kink usually does interviews with the models before and after they do the scenes. So you can learn about their personalities, and how the scenes felt for them.

Video quality is nice on Kink. They were very early to adapt HD (2006), so most of their huge archive is in HD. The highest resolution you can download is 720P HD. While they have raised the video quality over the years, they should add 1080P Full HD now. To be fair, their 720P HD scenes look great—better than Full HD on most BDSM sites, actually. The Kink crew are professionals with top of the line equipment and cameramen.
As for the streaming playback (their online video player), unfortunately it's only available in SD. While it looks good, they should add an HD streaming option too.

Photos are not available on the network currently. To be more precise, there are a few preview pics for each scene. Those are the same ones that you can view in their free area though, they are not real galleries. I believe that Kink does have full photo galleries of their scenes, they just haven't integrated them into the new design yet.

With the creation of the merged Kink.com network, they've also created a new merged members' area. When you log in with your password, you'll see the new updates from all of the sites, and you are free to watch and download everything. Of course you also have the option to select just one site (aka channel), and only browse those updates.
The navigation is decent now, they have been working on it. They could still improve the pagination system further, add more sorting options, and more features to the model index, and improve the keywords & search system. Kink does have these things, but other big networks have more advanced navigation.
The streaming video playback and the downloads are both fast. It's pretty cool that the Kink network has an active community on their message boards. As a member, you can also join in the discussions under the scenes.

I've also tested the site on my mobile phone. It's smooth and convenient, they did a good job optimizing it. The only thing I didn't like is that their video player only supports the lowest video resolution on mobile. At least they list all of the files for download on mobile too though, so you can download & play the HD version.

In summary, I think it's safe to say that the new merged Kink.com Network is the best BDSM site to subscribe, if you're looking for professionally produced scenes. It's gigantic, with well over 10.000 scenes. The 10 exclusive updates per week are also exceptional. There are only minor drawbacks —they could upgrade the resolution from 720P HD to 1080P HD, improve the navigation/search a bit, and add HD in the streaming player. The network is more expensive than most porn sites, but it also has a library that's 30 times bigger than most BDSM sites, so it's well worth the money.
