Penthouse Gold review

Penthouse is a big name in the world of nude magazines and porn. It started out as a men's magazine in 1965 in the UK, and in 1969 it expanded to the US as well (Wikipedia).
Later on there were movies, a TV channel, DVDs, and of course a website too.

Penthouse Gold is the main membership site of the company, the successor of the paysite previously located at Penthouse.com. It includes a lot of stuff:

• Videos updates, over 3500 of them
• Photo galleries, over 7500 of them
• Penthouse Pet Of The Month photos, videos, and interviews (going back to 1972!)
• Penthouse Vault: 560 vintage photo galleries and a few vintage videos from the previous decades. Includes some black & white photo sets!
• Penthouse Letters: 600 sex stories (articles) submitted by the readers of the magazine
• Penthouse Variations: 430 sex stories (articles) submitted by the readers of the magazine. Kinkier topics such as BDSM, swinging, fetishes, and bi adventures.
• Behind The Scenes + Penthouse Confidential: About 250 videos. Short interview videos, video reports, and BTS clips.
  
• 3D Videos: 172 porn videos for 3D TVs + 3D glasses. (The technology before the VR headsets came.)
  

One of the biggest appeals of Penthouse is their girls. They've always had the most gorgeous babes and porn stars. You'll be getting photos and videos of the Penthouse Pets and other stars from the past decades. Alexis Love, Sandra Romain, Tania Russof, Tori Black, Miko Sinz, Amy Ried are just some of the names that appear in their library of over 2000 models.
I have to be honest. I've never heard of many of their models. I was still in diapers when they were showing off their titties already!
The current lineup is great too. In 2018 and 2019 their Pets included Anny Aurora, Naomi Swann, Anna Lisa Wagner, Gianna Dior, Giselle Palmer, Ora Young, Ivy Wolfe, and Jisel Lynn.

If you're like me, you'll start browsing the site by going to the Latest Videos. There are basically three kinds of video updates: monthly videos with the current Penthouse Pet, scenes from the newest Penthouse DVDs, and older scenes from older Penthouse movies.

Videos from the recent Penthouse DVDs are great looking HD porn scenes. Mostly hardcore, lesbian, and threesome videos with a lot of penetration / pussy shots. The older movies are more distinctive with their Penthouse style. Those flicks follow a story through multiple scenes. Many of the older movies had a little blurriness added to the picture, for a smooth erotic effect, which feels vintage these days.
There was always a Pet Of The Month video, but recently they started adding multiple solo teasing vids with the featured star. These videos are great looking and sexy, I love them. They are also the only ones currently which are downloadable in 4K resolution.
Recent videos are available in 1080P Full HD for download. However the online video player only has SD in reality (992x558), even if they call it HD. This is an issue, real Full HD streaming is a standard thing on other big sites.

The photos look amazing, their photographers' experience definitely shows. They are sexy, sharp, and have vivid colors. There are softcore nudes, explicit nudes, and lesbian scenes as well.
I'm not satisfied with the resolution though. 1600px is the maximum photo resolution available. Sure, most people will be fine with 1600px. But a site with great photography like this one should be adding super high resolution pictures.

The user interface is okay. The site looks good and works good on all devices. Downloads and the online video player are fast. Some smaller drawbacks are the slow page loads, the forum link not working, and the less than perfect organization. The most important keywords are available for filtering—eg. genre, action type, looks. You cannot combine multiple keywords in one search.

The thing I disliked the most is that they mix old and new content in the video and photo updates. You click a recently added update, and you don't know if it's a scene from 2009 or 2019. There are shortcuts for categories such as Behind The Scenes and 3D Videos. However there is no way to show only the newly recorded content.

PenthouseGold adds 1 video and 2 photo galleries every day. As mentioned above, many of these scenes are older videos/galleries remastered. If you only count the brand new stuff, every week you get about 2-3 new videos, and 5 new photo galleries.

Penthouse Gold is a huge site. It is an amazing place to explore the company's legacy. They do a wonderful job remastering the older content, they look surprisingly good. You'll be getting a good amount of brand new hot videos and nice photo sets as well. If you look past the confusing organization of content, this site has great value, it will keep you entertained for a long time. They accept subscriptions through Epoch, so it's easy to cancel and you can pay by Paypal too.
