EroticaX is a distinct site within the XEmpire network that features hot porn scenes with romance and chemistry between the models. The scenes are each based on a thin plot that sets the stage for the chemistry and leads to some incredibly hot sex.

Most of the scenes are B/G though there is some variation. All the scenes feature some of the best American models working in the adult industry. The site has been around since 2013 and has over 420 scenes currently available and it continues to update.

The scenes are directed by the famous female adult movie director Mason. As the site's name suggests, it features sex scenes with romance and erotica. The scenes begin by setting up a bit of a plot, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone because glamcore and gonzo aren't usually mutually compatible. My personal preference is for harder-edged, gonzo scenes but when EroticaX first opened in 2013 I was an early member and continued subscribing when EroticaX and its sister sites were rolled into XEmpire. Why would someone who likes harder-edged gonzo porn join a site like EroticaX? The answer to that is easy – the scenes are hot and the models are beautiful.

We've reviewed the XEmpire network too, and I recommend that any prospective subscriber read that review too. Because the sites that make up the network are so distinct from each other, we've opted to write reviews of several of the individual sites or “channels” that make up the network. As with the other sites at XEmpire, the creative force behind EroticaX is the renowned female director, Mason. Mason got her start in the adult industry in 2002 when she signed on as a director for the well-known studio, Elegant Angel. Mason is, in my opinion, one of the best directors in the adult industry, regardless of gender. Some porn buyers may be biased against female directors because of the perception that they may be too “soft.” Mason proves that female directors can shoot scenes every bit as hot as a male director and her abilities to shoot raw hardcore are obvious. However, when it comes to shooting softer-edged scenes such as those found at EroticaX, Mason has an innate eye for making some of the best scenes in the genre available on the internet.

As I said above, the scenes at EroticaX all have a thin plot to begin. In my opinion, this is necessary in this genre to help build the chemistry between the models and to make that chemistry seem real for the viewer. The scenes themselves aren't plot based. There isn't a storyline that happens to be interspersed with sex. The plot is simply the vehicle through which the sex happens.

The scenes date back to 2013 when the site began and all of them feature some of the best production values available in the adult industry. The lighting, camera work, sound and editing are all top-notch. Further, EroticaX and its sister sites feature the best of the best for models. EroticaX is a Who's Who of the top stars at any given time.

There are currently 420 videos available on the EroticaX channel at XEmpire. Because the theme is romance and chemistry, most of them feature couples. There are some G/G ones, but the majority are B/G. All of the scenes available, there are 31 that feature threesomes.

Each scene is available for download or streaming provided that the membership you subscribe to includes downloads. I know not every reader will share my opinion, but I'm okay with paying a reasonable premium to get downloads on a site. EroticaX and the network are operated by the Gamma Entertainment umbrella and Gamma is, in my opinion, the best at being transparent about membership options. When you go to join the site, you are presented with clear and easily understood options that spell out if downloads are included. I wish more sites and networks followed the Gamma transparency model.

As I said above, both downloads and streaming are available and both of those are available in multiple resolutions. We've listed the available resolutions in the Videos box. As you can see from the list, there really is something for everyone. A reader should note that there is some variation in available resolutions and bitrates depending on when the scene was shot. The list I've provided gives a snapshot of the entire site, but some scenes may not offer all those resolutions. Also, the newer scenes have lower bitrates than the older scenes with the exception of the 4K option which maintains the same bitrates from 2018 through to current scenes.

EroticaX started adding 4K UHD resolution videos in late 2018. All scenes shot and uploaded after that now include 4K for both downloads and streaming. There are over 140 4K scenes available already.

When EroticaX first started as a stand-alone site, it updated with a new scene being added each week. By 2021 those updates became biweekly and more recently the EroticaX updates have been reduced to monthly. While some would see this as a negative, and objectively it is negative, a reader should keep in mind that EroticaX is now part of a larger network. XEmpire as a network adds 2 updates per week lately.

I wouldn't consider EroticaX or any of its sister sites on the network to be photo sites but anyone who collects photos will still find a lot to like here. While they look nice at the 1919px resolution, it would be great if they added them in a higher resolution too, to match the 4K videos. Photos started to be added to each of the scenes in mid-2016 and there are currently 266 photo sets available. There is a wide variation in the number of photos in each set with some having as few as 40 and others having as many as 500 photos. An approximate average across the site is 150 photos per set. You can view the individual photos on the website, and full sets are downloadable as ZIP files too.

The usability of the EroticaX website and of the entire network are among the best I've seen. It's great on all devices. At a high level, a subscriber can sort by using the channels. For example, EroticaX focuses on romantic sex with chemistry so if you are in the mood to watch that, simply going to the EroticaX channel will give you what you want. If you're looking for harder sex, you can apply the HardX channel filter. There is an extensive list of tags and categories as well. Scenes can be sorted by all the usual porn categories and some that aren't as common. Also, there is an effective search function.

Finally, because EroticaX releases its scenes on DVD as well, they make those DVDs available as well which tend to bring several scenes with a similar theme together. Finding what interests you at Erotica X is easy.

I found both download speeds and streaming to be fast and stable. I had no issue with downloads failing or with stuttering or buffering on streaming. Obviously, your own internet connection will play a significant role in your personal experience with speeds.

Because EroticaX is under the Gamma Entertainment umbrella, it bills through a proprietary Gamma biller. I've been subscribing to sites for over two decades and for me, having a reputable and trustworthy biller is a necessity. Since Gamma Entertainment was created, I've joined their sites using their billers at least 100 times and can say that I have never had an issue with them. I have found them to be open and transparent. When you want to cancel your membership, it's easy to do. I can't report on their customer service if you encounter a problem because I can say, in all honesty, that I have never had a problem with a Gamma or Gamma-affiliated site. It should come as no surprise to a reader that I highly recommend looking at Erotica X. The site offers some incredibly erotic couples-oriented porn featuring the top models in the business under the direction of one of the best directors working today. The scenes are about as close to perfection as you can get. The site offers downloads and streaming in multiple resolutions up to and including 4K. The only real downside is the that updates have slowed down, but on the flip side, you'll get access to the whole XEmpire network. It is a large network with 4 more distinct sites — HardX, DarkX, AllBlackX, and LesbianX— they offer the same quality and quantity of scenes. There aren't many other sites that offer porn of this quality and in this quantity for the price. EroticaX, and the entire XEmpire network are a great value. When you factor in the extra discount by joining through x3guide, it's hard to say no.
